Dr Danny Shub is one of Australia’s most experienced Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatrists. He has extensive clinical experience in public and private inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in forensic and medicolegal consultation.
Dr Shub completed his medical degree and general postgraduate psychiatry training at the University of WA then undertook a further postgraduate degree in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry under the auspices of the internationally renowned Victorian training program. Dr Shub has also completed further postgraduate training in the USA and Europe.
He has been involved in clinical practice for over 40 years and has worked in a wide range of contexts including at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, as a Consultant Psychiatrist to the Western General Hospital and as Head of the Pre-Adolescent Unit at Travancore Clinic (Melbourne). He has undertaken a wide range of consultant and supervisory roles in Western Australia, including that of Senior Consultant at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. He also consults to a variety of organisations in the areas of Child Protection, Juvenile and Adult Justice, Family Law, Civil and Criminal Forensics, Family Therapy and Organisational Health.
As a result of his nationally recognised expertise in Forensic Psychiatry, Dr Shub’s services are highly sought after by a wide range of law firms, insurance companies, superannuation funds, Courts, Government departments and other organisations.
Dr Shub offers impartial and independent psychiatric assessments, reviews and reports with a high level of diagnostic acumen, providing clear and unequivocal advice. He is a WorkCover WA-certified Permanent Impairment Assessor.
Unfortunately, Dr Shub is not taking on new patients for ongoing treatment. This allows him to maintain high-quality care for his existing long-term patients, and to focus on his medicolegal work.
